Our history is measured not in years but in generations. Set in the emblematic province of Toledo, the heartland of Spanish shooting tradition, our estate has belonged to the Vallano family for more than 400 years. That bond with the land has given us a deep knowledge of our surroundings, making El Despeñadero a place where respect for the countryside is passed from one generation to the next.

Although the estate has centuries of history behind it, it was in 1950 that the first shoot was held; a day among family and friends in which a shared passion for driven partridge was born. That spirit was the origin of everything that followed. More than 45 years ago, Darío Vallano Sr. founded the family business, becoming one of the great pioneers of organised shooting in Spain. His vision transformed the traditional driven day into an experience of excellence and prestige, laying the foundations of the name the Vallano family proudly continues to lead and protect today.
